The Dragon 88 project was centred around the offering of bespoke editions of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, DB9 and DBS to celebrate the year of the dragon.
Only 88 of these cars would be built specifically for the Chinese market, 88 being an especially lucky number in China. Aston Martin commissioned a special brochure to promote the cars unique attributes. Centred around craftsmanship, including unique dragon embroidery (consisting of 30,000 stitches), 24 carat gold badges, special paintwork and gold inlays to the interior. Binding the brochure with two lines of machine sewing using gold threads, the first time we had bound a brochure this way. The brochure was then inserted into a bespoke black folder, which also featured the gold foil detailing.
