Our riverside home in Stony Stratford is our very own ‘Old Pump House’, which was built in 1884 and still retains much of its original character.
In conjunction with a nearby water tower, the pump house supplied water to the people of Stony Stratford until 1950 it then became derelict for some 40 years.
Attracted by its potential, character and sense of history – and undeterred by its state of dereliction and head high brambles – Freestone purchased the Old Pump House in 1990. We sensitively restored the building, converted it into offices and a creative studio and moved in April 1991.
As the company’s grown, we’ve added two sympathetic extensions to create the building’s distinctive style, shape and character that you see today.
Feel free to pop in and see us – we’re just three miles from Milton Keynes centre and it’s easy to park in our own car park right outside the building.
